Once established, they are extremely difficult to eliminate without professional treatment — they hide in mattress seams, bed frame joints, skirting boards, and electrical sockets, and their eggs are resistant to contact insecticides.

Our Two-Visit Bed Bug Elimination Protocol
Why two visits? Because bed bug eggs survive the first treatment. A second visit 10–14 days later catches the newly hatched nymphs before they can reproduce, completing the elimination cycle.
Pre-Treatment Preparation (You)
We send a full preparation checklist in advance. This typically involves bagging and washing all bedding and clothing at high temperature, clearing access to all treatment areas, and removing items from wardrobes near the bed. We guide you through this clearly so nothing is missed.
Visit 1 — Full Residual Treatment
We apply a professional residual contact insecticide to all harbourage zones: mattress and base seams, bed frame joints, headboard backs, skirting boards, socket plates, and any upholstered furniture in the room. An insect growth regulator (IGR) is applied to disrupt the reproductive cycle. A 12-hour property vacancy is required after this visit.
10–14 Day Window
Surviving eggs hatch during this period. The nymphs that emerge are exposed to the residual insecticide left from Visit 1 and are killed before they can mature and reproduce. This window is critical — do not attempt to clean or disturb treated areas during this period.
Visit 2 — Confirmation & Reinforce
We return to assess activity levels and apply a second targeted treatment to any areas showing remaining signs. By this point, the infestation should be eliminated. A treatment certificate is issued and the 12-month guarantee period begins.
Guarantee Period
If bed bugs return during the covered guarantee period following the same route of introduction, we return to re-treat at no cost. Our guarantee covers treatment failure — not new introductions from subsequent guests, though we can advise on preventative measures for holiday lets.
